About
Hello! I'm Evony Pérez (23), a first generation Mexican-American artist from Southeast Los Angeles. I earned my degree from UC Davis in 2023, with a major in Design and a minor in Chicana/o Studies. My passion lies in social impact design, using illustrations to tell stories that amplify voices, challenge stereotypes, and foster community.
In 2024, I debuted my first solo art exhibit, a collection of graphic illustrations intertwined with poetry, exploring themes of cultural identity, colorism, gentrification and more. This exhibit was more than just art- it was my introduction to the world, a reflection of my personal journey, and a space for others to see themselves and feel understood.
Chicana En Me is more than a brand; its a movement. It embodies the struggles, resilience, and empowerment of being a minority in America from a Chicanas perspective. My hope is that everytime you see my work you feel a sense of belonging and connection to our shared stories.
Now more than ever, you can support this Chicanas vision — by engaging with my work on social media, streaming my poetry on YouTube, and/or now proudly represent my art through the Chicana En Me store.
I truly appreciate your time getting to know my story, I hope I inspire you to share yours!
